Randy Gilliam appointed to Board of Directors for District 2
Marion County native Randy Gilliam of the Sweedens Cove community was recently appointed to fill the District 2 board position left vacant with the passing of Richard Barnes.
Gilliam works a row-crop farming operation with his father, Dewey, and his son, Stanton. They carry on the tradition of farming started when the first of their line settled in the Battlecreek area in 1836. Gilliam is also a building contractor working mostly on commercial facilities. Gilliam and wife, Celena have three grown children — Stanton, Preston and Erica — and four grandchildren. Gilliam also serves on the board of Marion County Farm Bureau. “I am enjoying learning about the electric utility industry,” Gilliam said. “This is a great bunch of people to work with. I look forward to being a part of the exciting times to come.”
