All SVEC members in Sequatchie County and a small portion of southern Bledsoe County will be affected by a necessary, emergency power outage tonight, Friday, December 11, 2020 beginning at 10 p.m. CST. The emergency outage is expected to last for three hours. Members who are on oxygen or other life support should be prepared for this short outage and have back-up supplies.
An unplanned power outage in Sequatchie County occurred on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at approximately 4:00 p.m. When crews arrived at the substation to restore power, they found damaged equipment that needs to be repaired quickly in order to avoid a longer, unplanned power outage in the future.
