All News

There will be a planned power outage affecting the Nine Mile area of north Bledsoe County on Monday, June 28, 2021 beginning at 8:30 a.m. and lasting until 11:30 a.m. System maintenance is required and unfortunately, the upgrades cannot be completed with power lines energized, so the planned outage is necessary. The planned outage should not last more than three hours. Areas affected will be most of the head of the Valley, including:

  • U.S. 127 North, from Hutcheson Road to the Cumberland County line
  • the Nine-Mile Crossroads
  • Edmonds Road
  • Big Spring Gap Road
  • East Valley Road North from Patton to Melvine Crossroads
  • Old State Hwy. 28 North
  • Beaty Cove Area
  • Melvine area
  • Lowes Gap Road

The SVEC line crew from Sequatchie County will work alongside the Pikeville crew during the outage so work can be completed more efficiently. If inclement weather prevents SVEC from performing the system upgrades on June 28, 2021, SVEC will attempt to complete the work the next day, on June 29, 2021 at the same times.

Please refer questions to the SVEC office at 423-447-2131 or email info@svalleyec.com.
