In cooperation with the Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC) and its State Agency partners, two of Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative’s offices will again serve as distribution centers for the 2025 “TENNESSEE ENVIRONMENTAL COUNCIL.” SVEC is also a sponsor of the program. Tennessee Tree Day is the largest community tree-planting project of its kind in the Southeast. The long-term goal of TEC and its partners is to plant and care for one million native trees by 2025. To attain this goal, the event organizers need to recruit upwards of 40,000 volunteers to plant the seedlings on. We hope you will join us.
The group will provide native tree seedlings for a small donation, while supplies last, to any Tennessee resident who preregisters to reserve bundles of bare-root seedlings.
